Orcaflower is a black and white she-cat with copper eyes. She is warrior of ScorchClan, and her parents are Ternnose and Gullflower. She recalls that her parents loved her with all their hearts. But her parents later left not long after her apprentice ceremony. The she-cat's mentor was Waspflight, who has over time acted like an adoptive father to her.

Orcaflower is described as a cat that believes strongly in kinship and is warm and caring in nature. Down to the bone, she strives to be loyal to the cause. Her cause tends to falter between the Clan itself, and her own personal intentions.

Though Orcaflower can have some aggression problems. But only when too many cats tell her what to do. She doesn't handle all that well in those types of situations, and generally needs a helping hand after those confrontations. After the loss of her parents, Orcaflower is more prone to these behaviors and is slowly overcoming them.

Description

Appearance

Orcaflower is a a she-cat on the smaller side. She isn't tall at all, and that is why. Her build is generally lean and muscular, but she also can be seen to be a heavy cat. She has some weight to her, and is noticeable. The she-cat claims it to be pure muscle - that's half the truth. The other half is her body fat. Orcaflower has a wide head, with tall ears. Her muzzle is relatively broad and houses sharp teeth. In her young age they show no signs of decay or discoloration, but as she grows this will change.

She is a black and white cat. The white markings decorate her lower jaw and neck. They stop until her lower half, where there is a symmetrical pattern that covers her haunches as well. To some these body markings appear like crescent moons. Which is how many cats describe those markings. She also has white markings above her eyes. Her pelt is free from scars for now, and she likes to keep her pelt clean and neat. It is naturally sleek and has a distinct shine to it. Orcaflower has light copper eyes which are warm and generally inviting to those who talk to her. Her eyes are almond shaped as well, with some roundness to them.

Abilities

Orcaflower is said to have strong, maternal instincts. She has a warm and caring side seen to be reserved to a mother looking after kits. But that is how she rolls. The young she-cat appears this way to most of the cats that she meets. Some tend to pick it up from the vibe she gives off. As she grows, this instinct to care for younger members will likely grow. Orcaflower likes to believe that she will become a good mother one day, but only in her own time.

Apart from this, she is also an adequate fighter. With her heavy build, she does struggle to perform faster attacks and evade her opponents. But Orcaflower tries her best to use her disadvantages as advantages. It doesn't always work, but she tries, and to her that is what counts. Her attacks include swipes and almost just sitting on her opponent to overpower them.

Biography

Childhood

Orcakit was born to a pair of ScorchClan warriors - Ternnose and Gullflower. Every circumstance to her birth was relatively normal, though she was a single kit. This surprised the medicine cat, but to her parents she was a true gift. As she grew up, Orcakit was treasured by her mother and father. They taught her about everything, they even told her tales of great water and the beasts that called that home. By the age of the six moons, she finally became an apprentice. Her name became Orcapaw, and she received Waspflight as her mentor. It is said that relatively soon after her ceremony her parents disappeared, without a trace.

Adolescence

Orcapaw first appears in the roleplay as the great storm strikes the Clans. She is shown to be standing still in camp as chaos erupts. It is said that the noise of the storm and her Clanmates makes her ears hurt. So she closes her eyes to try and regain her surroundings. When she does, the young apprentices seeks out the only cat she was close to. Her mentor. Orcapaw sees him near his mate, Willowstar. She races over and apparently says something, but her voice is carried away by the wind. The leader then proceeds to give birth to two sons - Cyclonekit and Pantherkit. Her mentor invites her over to see his sons, and Orcapaw comments that they are gorgeous.

As the storm intensifies, she looks back to Waspflight and asks if they were going to be alright. The silver tabby replies calmly and tells her that they will and instructs her to follow him and Willowstar out of camp. Orcapaw does so after giving him a shaky nod of understanding. They begin leaving and she walks in front of Waspflight. The tom behind her in case she slipped. Eventually they catch up to Willowstar and her family. Windstorm appears limping. Orcapaw stays close to her mentor and sees her friend Darkpaw out of the corner of her eye. She monologues that she is glad to see him safe, and the rest of the Clan for that matter. She watches as he cleans his wound and is surprised when he winks at her. Daring to move closer she asks if he was alright, noting that the gash didn't look good. He replies that it would be fine and that it had ruined his good looks. Orcapaw just smiles and tells him that he looks more like a warrior with it.

Darkpaw asks her if she is okay, to which she replies that she was. Only that the storm was too loud and made her feel nervous with all the noise. The tom adds that the storm seemed to be dying down. She agrees but reminds herself that it was still a scary experience. After a weird exchange with the tom she walks back over to Waspflight seeing if there was anything that she should do.

Way after the storm had passed, she's seen relaxing in camp. Orcapaw notes that she hadn't seen her mentor for the day and had assumed that she'd been given the day off from training. Darkpaw calls to her and she replies, asking how's it going. The narrator notes that she is now roughly nine moons of age, and isn't far from receiving her warrior name. After a while, she walks around camp looking for Waspflight. She walks over to Pantherkit and Windstorm, asking the warrior if he had seen his father.

Adulthood

A couple moons later, she is made a warrior by the name of Orcaflower.

Willowstar: "Orcakit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Orcapaw. Your mentor will be Waspflight. I hope Waspflight. will pass down all he/she knows on to you."

Willowstar: "Waspflight, you are ready to take on an apprentice. You had received excellent training from your former mentor, and you have shown yourself to be loyal and brave. You will be the mentor of Orcapaw, and I expect you to pass on all you know to Orcapaw."

She has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend them to you as a warrior in their turn. Orcaflower's relationship with her mother and father was described as healthy, and supportive. They treasured her as she was their only child. The pair raised her to believe in what was right to her, and told her stories about their home far away. Orcaflower in returned loved them. She remembers clearly the look on their faces when she was made an apprentice to Waspflight. The look of joy, pride, and love was ever clear. But then the storm struck. It was with the threat of the Clan's demise she last saw her parents. The young she-cat misses them a lot, and doesn't understand why they would leave her. To help cope with their disappearance she has tried to convince herself that they are in fact deceased, killed by the savage storm. But the young cat can't deny she misses them dearly - missing their loving presence and their stories of the great water.

Orcaflower considers the tom one of her closest friends. Although she can seem awkward around him, she doesn't feel uncomfortable talking to him. She likes that he's always there and is keen to keep a smile on her face. She just finds him cool to be around and easy to learn and hunt together with. In a general summary, in her mind, he's just cool to be around. Continued in love interests.

Orcaflower has also developed a crush of sorts on the other apprentice, and believes that's why she feels weird being around him. She doesn't have any current plans to tell him how he feels, and hopes that if he doesn't return the concept, he's not going to be mean.

Peers

Waspflight

Orcaflower's bond with her mentor is almost rivals that with her father. She sees him as a secondary father figure, and by the way he teaches her can see he has a similar bond. The she-cat has a lot of respect for him and believes him to be the best mentor in the history of mentors. She was almost defeated to hear of his death caused by twolegs and their dogs. Orcaflower misses him a lot like she misses her parents, and hopes that her actions in the future will reflect his teachings well for his memory.

Trivia

• A lot of her personality and quirks reflect the animal she is named after.
• When the times for her to have kits, she will hopefully be with a tom that loves her dearly. Orcapaw will likely only have one or two kits in her life time.
• Orcapaw over time has developed a strong dislike of loud noises. This behavior has come as an effect from the tornado that struck the Clan territories. The most notable change within her is how she flinches, or jumps at sudden loud noises. It is also likely that strong winds and storms scare her, but this has yet to be decided.
• Her parents wanted to call her Moana before they moved to ScorchClan.
